Applying for e-Visa

From 1 November 2022, The Royal Thai Embassy in Rome has launched an e-Visa application. Applicants are required to submit their documents online through the website https://thaievisa.go.th

Click here for the fees of each visa category. The Embassy has no involvement in the charges of any fee or cost incurred from the services of a third party.

VISA PROCESSING TIME: UP TO 14 WORKING DAYS (UP TO 14 WORKING DAYS DURING HIGH SEASON)

Applicants are recommended to apply for the visa in advance at least 15 days before the expected date of arrival.

Do not apply for a visa earlier than 3 months (90 days) before you arrive in Thailand.

Applicants are advised to read the common mistakes, in order to avoid any possible mistakes, which could lead to the cancellation or rejection of the applications. Application processing fees (visa fees) will NOTbe refunded in all cases.

The Embassy CANNOT edit your personal details for you.

Applicants are required to submit their visa application through the e-Visa system: https://thaievisa.go.th. All visa processes and payment are done through online system, therefore submission of passport at the Embassy is not required. Once the visa is approved, the applicant will be notified by email and the proof of visa approval can be downloaded and printed out by the applicant themselves.
 

Applicants are advised to thoroughly read the user's manual or watch the user's manual video clips prior to the start of the application process. 

Common mistakes when applying for Thai e-Visas

Please exercise caution in completing e-Visa applications to avoid any possible mistakes, which could lead to cancellation or rejection of the applications. Application processing fees (visa fees) will NOT be refunded in all cases.

1. Full Name

  • Don't misspell your own name.
  • Your name must be spelled exactly as it appears in the machine-readable zone (MRZ) at the bottom of the biographic data page of your passport. Special characters (É, È, etc.) must be written as “E
  • Don't left out any parts of your full name
    • Example: if your full name is John Samples Doe, please fill in the entire name:
      • First name: John
      • Middle Name: Samples
      • Family Name: Doe
  • Don't use - or N/A or X or anything to indicate that you do not have that part of the name. Just leave that field blank.
    • Example: if you do not have a middle name, in this case, please leave the middle name field blank.
  • Don't miss out spaces when there is space.
    • Example: if your family name is John Doe, you must fill in John Doe (with space between John and Doe) NOT Johndoe.

IMPORTANT

  • Simple mistake(s) could lead to rejection of your application. The visa fees will NOT be refunded in all cases.
  • The Embassy CANNOT edit your personal details for you.
  • With a wrong full name, even if the Embassy had granted you a visa, you may encounter difficulties at the immigration checkpoints when you enter Thailand or when requesting for work permit or extension of stay later on.

2. Supporting documents

  • Only submit supporting documents as requested or indicated in the application. 
  • Don't submit financial evidence showing an unreasonable balance for a person to stay abroad. The recommended minimum amount should be at least 550 euro/30 days of stay in Thailand.
  • Failure to submit all required documents could result in further delay or rejection of your application.
  • If you haven’t traveled or have no travel record for the past 12 months since the last international trip on your passport. You can upload a blank page or write a confirmation on a paper that you haven’t traveled for the past 12 months 
  • Proof of residence can be either:
     
    For Italian / Cypriots / Albanian / Sammarinese citizens
    1. Certificate of Residence
    2. National ID Card
    3. Biographic data page of your passport 
    4. Driver license 

    For Non-Italian / Cypriots / Albanian / Sammarinese Passport holders:

3. "Declaration"

  • Don't submit your self-created declaration form.
  • Don't submit an empty form, unfilled and unsigned.

IMPORTANT

  • A completed and signed Declaration Form is required.
  • Self-created declaration forms are NOT accepted.

4. Under the field "Your picture holding the photo and information page of the passport" 

  • Submit NOT just a photo of your passport BUT literally a photo of you holding your own passport which is opened and show the data page (the page with your photo and personal information).

5. Email

  • Don't mistype your own email.
  • Don't use an e-mail that is full or practically unreachable.

IMPORTANT

  • All automatic communications between the e-Visa system and you are done through the email you provided. This includes the delivery of your visa once approved. 
  • Please check the spelling of your email in order to make sure that your email is correct.

6. "Photograph *taken within the last six months"

  • Please submit a proper passport photo NOT a photo cropped from your passport.
  • If the photograph does not reflect your current appearance, you may be refused to enter Thailand.

  • When entering Thailand, the Immigration officer at the entry point will grant a 90-day stay.

    This is an initial period of stay for this type of visa. For an extension of stay beyond 90 days, the application must be made at the Immigration Bureau in Thailand.

Visa Exemption

Visa Exemption

The holders of Italian and Sammarinesepassports are entitled for visa exemption on arrival in Thailand and eligible to stay in the country for tourism purposes up to 30 days.

  • Foreigners entering Thailand by any means under the Visa Exemption scheme are required at the port of entry to have proof of planned travel (confirmed air, train, bus, or boat tickets) to leave Thailand within 30 days of the arrival date. Otherwise, a visa must be obtained before entering Thailand.
  • For traveling to Thailand by land and sea, Italian and Sammarinesepassport holders are eligible for Visa Exemption Scheme with a maximum of twice in a calendar year. 
  • The Tourist Visa Exemption scheme only applies to foreigners holding passports issued by the countries listed below. (Travel documents for foreigners issued by these countries are not acceptable)

Tourist Visa

Tourism, short visit, or medical. Tourist (TR) visa holders will be permitted to stay in Thailand for up to 60 days.

Ordinary passport holder who wishes to enter the Kingdom for the following purposes is subjected to be granted a Tourist visa:

● Tourism
● Short visit to family living in Thailand.

● Medical treatment with registered hospitals.

● Participants of MICE (Meeting, Incentives, Convention & Exhibitions) supported by TCEB.

Required Documents

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months.

2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months.

3. Flight Itinerary showing flights into and out of Thailand. A minimum of two inbound and outbound tickets are required for multiple entries visa.

4. Evidence of adequate finance or Bank Statement or Proof of Income with a minimum  balance of 550 Euro. For multiple entries, 5,500 Euro.

5. Proof of accommodation

Validity of the Visa

The validity of a visa is 90 days for single entry, 180 days for multiple entries.

Period of Stay

Upon arrival, travelers with this type of visa may be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 60 days.

Transit Visa

For transit, sports activities, or crew members

Ordinary passport holder who wishes to enter the Kingdom for the following purposes is subjected to be granted Transit visa.

● Category “TS”: Travel in transit through the Kingdom in order to proceed to the country of destination or to re-enter his/her own country

● Category “S”: Participate in sports activities for no longer than one month (sportsmen, sportswomen)

● Category “C”: Person in charge or crew of a conveyance coming to a port, station or area in the Kingdom

Required Documents

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months.

2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months.

3. Evidence of travel to and from Thailand (confirmed air ticket paid in full).

4. Evidence of adequate finance or Bank Statement or Proof of Income with a minimum   
 balance of 270 Euro. 

5. Visa of a third country in a passport or travel document.

6. Letter of invitation/acceptance confirming the application's participation in sports/training activities in the Kingdom (In case of participating in sports/training activities).

Validity of the Visa

The validity of a visa is 90 days.

Period of Stay

Travellers coming to Thailand with Transit visa will be permitted to stay in the Kingdom for a period not exceeding 30 days.

Non-Immigrant Visa O (Family of a Thai national)

Visiting family

Family of a Thai national (Immediate family includes spouse and children)

Ordinary passport holders wishing to stay with a family who is a Thai national in the following circumstances can apply for the Non-Immigrant type O Visa.

● Spouse of a Thai national

● Children of a Thai national (age must be under 20 years old unless they are unable to support themselves due to mental or physical condition)

● Legally adopted child of a Thai national (age must be under 20 years old unless they are unable to support themselves due to a mental or physical condition)

● Parent of a Thai national Applicant has no age restriction in case that the child is under 20 years old. Applicant has no age restriction in case that the child is under 20 years old.

Required Documents

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months.

2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months.

3. Flight Itinerary showing flights into and out of Thailand

4. Financial evidence (e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings, proof of sponsorship from a third party).

5. Proof of relationship to a family in Thailand.

    ● Spouse of a Thai national:

   Marriage certificate

   A copy of an ID card of a Thai spouse

    ● Children of a Thai national / Legally adopted child of a Thai national:

   Birth Certificate / Certificate of adoption

   A copy of an ID card of a Thai parent

    ● Parent of a Thai national:

   Birth Certificate / Certificate of adoption

   A copy of an ID card of a Thai children

7. Invitation letter from your spouse indicated that you both are still married and he/she acknowledges your visit 

8. Copy of a permit of stay or other evidence to prove that the applicant is legally residing in Italy / Cyprus / Albania / San Marino (only for non-Italian / Cypriots / Albanian / Sammarinese Passport holders passport holders)

Validity of the visa

The validity of a visa is 90 Days, 180 days for multiple entries.

Period of Stay

The holders of this type of visa are initially granted a period of stay in the Kingdom not exceeding 90 days unless otherwise instructed by the Office of Immigration Bureau.

Non-Immigrant Visa O (Retirement)

The holder of this type of visa is allowed to stay in Thailand for 90 days.
Employment of any kind is strictly prohibited.

Applicants applying for a Non-Immigrant O visa for retirement purposes must be at least 50 years of age and above 

Required Documents

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months.

2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months.

3. Flight Itinerary showing flights into and out of Thailand

4. Financial evidence: applicant’s bank statement showing a balance in the amount of not less than 6,000 euro or an income certificate with a monthly salary, after-tax, of not less than 1,500 euro

5. Proof of accommodation: Copy of hotel reservation / rental contract/deed. In case of residing with a family, an invitation letter from the host family along with a copy of their undersigned Thai ID or house registration is required. The name of the applicant must be indicated clearly.

6. Health Insurance Policy Certificate with the outpatient benefit of not less than 40,000 THB (or equivalent in other currency) and inpatient benefit of not less than 400,000 THB (or equivalent in other currency). The insurance must also cover all expenditures of medical treatments including COVID-19 worth at least 100,000 USD. 

7. Copy of a permit of stay or other evidence to prove that the applicant is legally residing in Italy / Cyprus / Albania / San Marino (only for non-Italian / Cypriots / Albanian / Sammarinese Passport holders passport holders)

The validity of a visa is 90 Days, 180 days for multiple entries.

Period of Stay

Upon arrival, travelers with this type of visa may be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 90 days.

MULTIPLE ENTRIES:    175 euro 

Non-Immigrant O-A (Long-stay)

Holder of this type of visa is allowed to stay in Thailand for 1 year.
Employment of any kind is strictly prohibited.


Applicants applying for a Non-Immigrant O-A visa for retirement purpose must be at least 50 years of age and above. 


For foreigners staying in Thailand with this type of visa, notification of stay every 90 days with the immigration bureau is required.

Required Document

1. Passport with validity not less than 18 months. 

2. Photographs of the applicant, taken within the past six months. 

3. Financial evidence: applicant’s bank statement showing a balance in the amount of not less than 25,000 Euro or an income certificate with a monthly salary, after-tax, of not less than 2,000 euro.

4. Document(s) of Police verification stating the applicant has no criminal record issued by the country of residence. The verification must not be more than three months old.

5. Document(s) of medical certificate from the country where the applicants apply for visa stating that applicants don’t have any prohibited diseases as follows: Leprosy, Tuberculosis, Elephantiasis, drug addiction, the third stage of Syphilis. The medical certificate must be issued no longer than 3 months prior to the date of submission.

6. For medical insurance documents, the applicant must be a holder of a health insurance policy, issued by a Thai insurance company, must have the health insurance policy with coverage of not less than 100,000 USD (or not less than 3,000,000 Baht), including COVID-19 treatments for the whole period of stay in Thailand. Validity of the visa

The validity of a visa is 1 year.

Period of Stay

Travelers coming to Thailand with a Non-Immigrant O-A visa will be initially granted a stay permit of one year in the Kingdom according to the validity of the visa. 

**For foreigners staying in Thailand with this type of visa, notification of stay every 90 days with the immigration bureau is required.

MULTIPLE ENTRIES:    175 euro 

Non-Immigrant Visa O-X (Long Stay 10 years)

This type of visa is issued to foreign nationals who intend to enter the Kingdom of Thailand for an extended period of time for their retirement and recreation. 

The visa holder is allowed to stay in Thailand for up to 10 years with multiple entries.

Eligibility 

The visa applicant must be at least 50 years old.

The applicant must be a national of one of the following countries:

Denmark

Germany

Finland

France

Italy

Netherlands

United Kingdom of Great Britain

Required documents

1. Passport with validity not less than 18 months. 

2. The declaration form must be filled out and signed.

3. Document(s) of Police verification stating the applicant has no criminal record issued by the country of residence. The verification must not be more than three months old.

4. Document(s) of medical certificate from the country where the applicants apply for visa stating that applicants don’t have any prohibited diseases as follows: Leprosy, Tuberculosis, Elephantiasis, drug addiction, the third stage of Syphilis. The medical certificate must be issued no longer than 3 months prior to the date of submission.

5. Copy of evidence stating that applicants have insurance as per stipulated by the Office of Insurance Commission and health insurance of Thailand which has insurance money for outpatient not less than 40,000 Baht and for inpatient not less than 400,000 Baht. Please check (http://longstay.tgia.org) for more information regarding the insurance requirement.

6. Financial evidence e.g.


a) Certificate of bank deposit stating bank contact information, copy of bank book and bank statement which shows fixed deposit with the amount of not less than 3 million Baht deposited in Thai bank located in Thailand.

OR

b) Certificate of bank deposit stating bank contact information, copy of bank book and bank statement which shows fixed deposit with the amount of not less than 1.8 million Baht deposited in Thai bank located in Thailand and certificate of annual income with the amount of not less than 1.2 million Baht (local currency equivalent) per year.

(Once the applicants enter Thailand, they must have accumulated money deposited in a Thai bank located in Thailand not less than 3 million Baht within 1 year.)

c) The amount of money under (a) and (b) must rest in the bank account for at least 1 year before it can be withdrawn. Within the following year, at least 1.5 million baht must be left in the account. The amount can only be spent in Thailand.

7. The applicant is required to upload his / her passport pages which contain all travel records for the past 12 months (1 year) since the last international trip.

8. Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy / Consulate conforming with his / her consular jurisdiction and residency. The applicant is required to upload documents that can verify his / her current residency. E.g. Passport or ID Card

Remarks: The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documents if necessary or to invite the applicant to an interview. 

Validity of the visa

Travelers coming to Thailand with a Non-Immigrant O-X visa will be initially granted a stay permit of 5 years in the Kingdom according to the validity of the visa. After five years they can apply for an extension of five years.

Period of Stay

5 years from first entry (with an option to extend for a further 5 years), a total of 10 years

Accompanying spouses and children under 20 years of age can also apply for the Non-Immigrant Visa OX. The visa fee must be paid for each application.

Non-Immigrant Visa B (Work & Business)

Conducting business or working

Ordinary passport holder who wishes to enter the Kingdom for conducting business or working is subjected to be granted a Non-Immigrant B Visa.

Required Documents

For the purpose of conducting business and conference (not including employment)

    1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months. 
    2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months.
    3. Flight Itinerary showing flights into and out of Thailand.
    4. Hotel bookings or proof of accommodation of your entire stay in Thailand.
    5. Letter of invitation on company letterhead from the business host in Thailand stating the objective of the visit to Thailand.
    6. A letter from the employer in Italy/Cyprus/Albania/San Marino stating the objective of the visit to Thailand.
    7. Copy of a permit of stay or other evidence to prove that the applicant is legally residing in Italy/Cyprus/Albania/San Marino (only for non-Italian /Cypriot/ Albanian/Sammarinese passport holders)
    8. A copy of the host’s Thai Business Registration and Thai Business License which is issued by the Department of Commercial Registration (will be requested on a case-by-case basis)

Required Documents

For the purpose of employment / working in Thailand           

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months. 

2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months.

3. Letter of invitation on company letterhead from the business host in Thailand.

4. Letter of approval from the Ministry of Labour is requested. (To obtain this letter, the prospective employer in Thailand is required to submit Form WP3 at the Office of Foreign Workers Administration, Department of Employment, Ministry of Labour, or at a Provincial Employment Office in the respective province. Further information is available at www.doe.go.th/workpermit/index.html).

5. Employment contract indicating rationale for employing the applicant as well as his/her salary, position, and qualifications. (Document must be signed by authorized managing director and affixed the seal of the company).

6. Copy of Work Permit issued by the Ministry of Labour. (Only in case the applicant has previously worked in the Kingdom).

7. Copy of educational records of the applicant and letters of recommendation from the prior employers, identifying job description and length of service time. (Optional)

8. Copy of a permit of stay or other evidence to prove that the applicant is legally residing in Italy/Cyprus/Albania/San Marino (only for non-Italian /Cypriot/ Albanian/Sammarinese passport holders)

9. Proof of accommodation 

10. A copy of the host’s Thai Business Registration and Thai Business License which is issued by the Department of Commercial Registration. * Please note that copy of corporate documents may be requested as deemed appropriated; namely 1) list of shareholders 2) business registration and business license 3) company profile 4) details of the business operation 5) list of foreign workers stating names, nationalities, and positions 6) map indicating the location of the company 7) Balance sheet, statement of Income Tax and Business Tax (PorNgorDor 50 and PorNgorDor 30) of the latest year 8) Alien income tax return (PorNgorDor 91) and 9) Value-added tax registration (PorNgorDor 20).

Required Documents

For teaching or employment as personnel in government or private primary, secondary or vocational schools:

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months. 

2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months.

3. Acceptance or Invitation Letter from concerned authorities under the Ministry of Education of Thailand

4. Employment or Assignment Letter from the institution in Thailand signed by the  competent person and the copy of identity card or passport of the person who signed the letter.

A single-entry visa is valid for 90 days. The validity of a Multiple-entry visa could be varied from three months to one year.

Period of Stay

Upon arrival, travelers with this type of visa may be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 90 days.

Non-Immigrant Visa ED (Education)

This type of visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom to study, to come on a work-study tour or observation tour, to participate in projects, seminars, or internship programme, to attend a conference or training course, and to study as a foreign Buddhist monk.

*The applicant will be issued a Non-Immigrant ED visa only if the internship is mandatory for the curricular. Non-Immigrant B visa will be issued otherwise.

ONLY A SINGLE ENTRY IS GRANTED

Required Documents

    1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months. 
    2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months.
    3. Flight Itinerary showing flights into and out of Thailand.
    4. Evidence of adequate finance (the equivalent of 20,000 THB per person and 40,000 THB per family)
    5. Transcript / Letter of acceptance or invitation from the concerned schools/universities or institutes/ companies and a copy of the identity card/passport of the person who signs the letter of acceptance/invitation.
    6. Official Note certifying the purpose of travel from school/universities or institutes/ Thai Government Agencies concerned/ companies

Period of Stay

Upon arrival, travelers with this type of visa may be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 90 days.

Non-Immigrant - Other Categories

Voluntary work with NGO/Charity/Association (Without remuneration) (Non-Immigrant O)

Required Document

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months.

2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months.

3. Letter confirming voluntary work signed by an authorized person together with a copy of ID card or passport of the sign.

4. Registration of NGO/Charity/Association.

Thai National Who has abandoned its Thai citizenship (Non-Immigrant O)

Required Document

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months.

2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months.

3. Proof of having Thai citizenship.

4. Travel booking confirmation.

To be a contestant or a witness for the judicial process (Non-Immigrant O)

Required Document

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months.

3. Documents showing participation in the judicial process.

4. Financial evidence, e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings, proof of sponsorship from a  third party).

To work as a film-producer, journalist or reporter (Non-Immigrant M)

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months.
2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months.

3. Approval letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the letter of authorization/permission for film production in Thailand from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Kingdom of Thailand

Long term Resident visa (LTR)

Non-Immigrant Visa F

Government or diplomatic mission

Eligibility

Ordinary passport holder, whose purpose of visit as followings can apply for the Non-Immigrant F Visa.

  • To work with the government, diplomatic mission or an international organisation in Thailand (immediate family included).
  • To attend a meeting with Thai agency or to participate an event organized by Thai government.
  • Family or dependent of diplomatic officers/officials based in Thailand.

Required Document

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months.

2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months.

3. Letter from relevant agency: Thai authority, embassy, consulate-general, or international organization certified the purpose of visit.

Validity of a Visa

Single-entry visa is valid for 90 days.

Period of Stay

The holders of this type of visa are initially granted a period of stay in the Kingdom not exceeding 90 days unless otherwise instructed by the Office of Immigration Bureau.

 

Diplomatic Visa/Official Visa

A diplomatic visa is for a diplomatic passport /red UN Laissez-Passer holder visiting Thailand for official purposes or be posted in Thailand.

  • Holders of diplomatic passport /red UN Laissez-Passer visiting Thailand for official duties or activities on behalf of their national government or international organization will be granted a Diplomatic Visa “F”.
  • Holders of diplomatic passport /red UN Laissez-Passer expected to be posted in Thailand will be granted a Diplomatic Visa “D”.

An official Visa is for official passport / blue UN Laissez-Passer holder visiting Thailand for official duties or be posted in Thailand.

Required Document

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months.

2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months.

3. Note verbale from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomatic mission or related UN agencies.

Period of Stay

The holders of this type of visa are initially granted a period of stay in the Kingdom not exceeding 90 days unless otherwise instructed by the Office of Immigration Bureau.

Extension of Stay

For diplomatic passport holders and official passport holders who will be posted to Thailand, the extension of stay can be made through the Department of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

Visa-on-Arrival

Passport holders from the following countries and territories may apply for a Visa on Arrival (VoA) at 42 designated immigration checkpoints (including all international airports) when traveling for tourism purpose and will allow to stay in the country up to 30 days* 

* From 1 October 2022 to 31 March 2023, the period of stay for visa-on-arrival is extended from 15 days to 30 days.

Required Documents

1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months.

2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months.

3. Copy of a permit of stay, or a valid visa which permits the applicant to reside legally in Italy, Cyprus Albania or San Marino. 

4. Flight Itinerary showing flights into and out of Thailand, ff applying for multiple entries, ticket must show at least two (2) entries into Thailand.

5. Copies of hotel bookings of the entire stay in Thailand.

6. Copies of work contract or confirmation from the applicant’s employer in English, or the applican’s student card, or confirmation from the school/university stating that the applicant is studying in Italy, Cyprus Albania or San Marino.

7. Copies of bank statement, it must show applicant’s name and balance at least 6 months.
*If the applicant does not have his/her own bank statement, please submit the Affidavit of Support with the bank statement of the person who supports the applicant.

*If using Online Bank Statement, it must show the applicant’s name and balance.

REMARK: the Embassy may require approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thailand before we can issue the visa. This may require additional time (up to 4-6 weeks). Please allow enough time for processing.

Extension of Stay

Those who wish to stay longer or may wish to change their type of visa must file an application for permission at the Office of Immigration Bureau located in Government Center B, Chaengwattana Soi 7, Laksi, Bangkok 10210, Tel 0-2141-9889. For more information: http://www.immigration.go.th .

For those entered Thailand using Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme or Visa on Arrival, there is a possibility to extend for 30 days with the Thai Immigration. However, the extension of stay as well as the change of certain types of visas is solely at the discretion of the Immigration officer.
