Those who wish to stay longer or may wish to change their type of visa must file an application for permission at the Office of Immigration Bureau located in Government Center B, Chaengwattana Soi 7, Laksi, Bangkok 10210, Tel 0-2141-9889. For more information: http://www.immigration.go.th . For those entered Thailand using Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme or Visa on Arrival, there is a possibility to extend for 30 days with the Thai Immigration. However, the extension of stay as well as the change of certain types of visas is solely at the discretion of the Immigration officer. |
An additional health document (international health certificate on yellow fever vaccination) can be required from passport holders from the list below.

Required Documents 1. Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months. 2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months. 3. Copy of a permit of stay, or a valid visa which permits the applicant to reside legally in Italy, Cyprus Albania or San Marino. 4. Flight Itinerary showing flights into and out of Thailand, ff applying for multiple entries, ticket must show at least two (2) entries into Thailand. 5. Copies of hotel bookings of the entire stay in Thailand. 6. Copies of work contract or confirmation from the applicant’s employer in English, or the applican’s student card, or confirmation from the school/university stating that the applicant is studying in Italy, Cyprus Albania or San Marino. 7. Copies of bank statement, it must show applicant’s name and balance at least 6 months. *If using Online Bank Statement, it must show the applicant’s name and balance. |

Executives, entrepreneurs or investors

SMART Visa is offered to foreign experts, executives, entrepreneurs and investors who wish to enter into the Kingdom of Thailand to work or to invest in the following “10 S-Curve” industries or the country’s targeted industries.
