On this occasion, H.E. the Ambassador of Thailand delivered her remarks with a focus on issues concerning ASEAN unity and solidarity in addressing challenges, cooperation with Italy as ASEAN’s Development Partner, ACR’s planned activities during Thailand’s chairmanship, closer cooperation with Italy on sustainable development in the capacity of ASEAN Coordinator on Sustainable Development Cooperation as well as ASEAN – EU and dialogue partner relations while H.E. Ms. Alessandra Schiavo, Deputy Director General/Principal Director for the Countries of Asia and Oceania, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Italy delivered her remarks stating the importance of ASEAN in the region, cooperation under the Development Partnership and Practical Cooperation Areas (PCA) between Italy and ASEAN, the role of the Italian civil society in collaboration with ACR in the implementation of the Development Partnership.
